I did read somewhere that i shouldn't let the broadband set-up CD-ROM anywhere near the computer, any idear why not?.
you dont need to install any software in order for your pc to operate with the cable modem.

Baiting peple isn't very grown up, there was no need for you to state such a thing, certainly not in the way you did it, knowing that someone will pick up on and it restate why they are complaining etc.

You'll probably find that people tend to post in a way that (normally) mirrors the original post - you know, spout rubbish and get rubbish spouted back...

Forgot to say earlier, the BB Tech told me that the 75gb a month includes your uploads and downloads.

Apparently ive been upgraded and she said its a £30 upgrade charge.
She said it should be instant. ive rebooted my modem 20 times in the past 1 hour 30 mins hoping but nothing yet.. Hope its done by the time i get home tomorrow.

When i browse to the modem it still looks like iam on 3mb service :s
just phoned back as it still wasnt upgraded. the women i spoke to last night made sure she upgraded the account info but forgot to actually send out the upgrade on my line! the bloke i spoke to just sent it. rebooted and its now on 10mb

speed test only showing 3mb down speeds though (330k) but 60k up.

Re: *ALL* ntl 10MB Discussion (Part 3)

Hmm thats a bit crap if the cap includes your upload as well! (not that I upload huge amounts anyway) but if it does NTL should state that this is the case when they talk about an allowance

Re: *ALL* ntl 10MB Discussion (Part 3)

Just rang CS about getting my line upgraded, he just told me that he can't give me a date as to when the Loughborough area will be done. All he said was that they were on track for all 3MB customers to be done by about Xmas time...

Great....NOT!!!
