Connection

The connection on my modem is frequently dropping. The ready (or RDY if you don't have an ntl:250) keeps going off completely or just flashes. I have to unplug it and plug it back in 3/4 times before it works again.

Any ideas how I could solve this?

Re: Connection

sounds like a problem with the return path- you will need to contact ntl tech support to get an engineer out to resolve this.

Re: Connection

When my cable modem had the flashing ready light problem, an engineer had to come out and adjust the signal strength (if i remember correctly), so you may have the same type of problem.Maybe its a problem with the cable that connects into the modem itself - when you move it to unplug it and plug it in again you move it into an 'ok' positon where the connection is made again - if that makes sense, it is early.May be a job for NTL
