Re: *All* ntl 10meg Discussion (part 2)
Well I bit the bullet and got me a SACM being fitted on tuesday 15th. I dont want to be waiting around til next year for the upgrade with being stuck on the STB Connection, and hopefully this will stop the TV Screen freezing all the time when I'm maxxing the connection. Not that I do that alot, I'm not a real bad boy.
So here's looking to the future......

What is the number for retentions? I thought it was on this site somewhere, but I cannot find it.

ok to all the people who keep getting a big NO till december reply from cs either wait till the upgrades go through or get on the blower and keep trying till you get a nice person who will upgrade you

Ever thought that your area may have a problem which won't be overcome until December and no one in your area is being upgraded. Other posters that have the upgraded speeds may be in an area that is ready for for the new speeds.

I might have believed this, but daveetwo posted back in post 817 that he has been upgraded, and he is just a couple of miles or so away.

Re: *All* ntl 10meg Discussion (part 2)
Got upgraded today, rebooted the modem and the new config file is there BUT my 120 is still only giving me around 2.5Mb/s (this is the speed I've always had on the 3Mb/s service, so I thnk there may be an issue with the hardware) down despite getting the proper upstream speed of 485 Kbps.
Just got off the phone to tech support and they are sending a tech out tomorrow to have a look - I have to say NTL have been very polite and helpful so far.
