Re: *All* ntl 10meg Discussion (part 2)

I'm still a little confused as to whether this has already been made live nationally - or whether this is still restricted to those areas that were already trialling....
....so....
....anyone in Reading getting 10 meg yet?

Stairpotato ...

Glad your asking. The answer is no - I'm also in the Reading Area. I am on 3Mbit and the upgrade page will not allow me to do anything. I want to phone CS services but I would like to know if I have a cat in hells chances (i.e. the service is working in the Reading area) before I sit on the phone...

Re: *All* ntl 10meg Discussion (part 2)

All you people with new modems....
I still have an old motorola surfboard modem, which 'says' it can handle 42Mb.
Anyone else still have one of these beasts?

Also the speed settings are set locally still? Via a cm file?
Could be time to dig out docsis again and have a DIY speed increase, save those nice ntl bunnies some work....

I bet NTL Customer services just got 3000 calls within the first ten minutes, I really can't say anything I was contemplating on ringing them.

Re: *All* ntl 10meg Discussion (part 2)

A new report shows NTL speed upgrades cause excessive amounts of stress in it's customer service department

I wonder why?
