upgrading to 2mb service from 1mb help this
Everyone your thoughts
I play in a game called football manager 06, and have been in a clan of about 12 of us for years. The guy that usually hosts runs it on a separate computer dedicated server with him on his laptop. Anyway he cant do it on both days so I said Iââ‚ ¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢d do it but its painfully slow.
Would upgrading to 2mb service from 1mb help this for hosting.
this might be best in the games bit

Well, the 1meg service has a 100k upload speed, and the 2mb has a 200k upload speed- so yup twice the upload will definately help with hosting

Youre wrong, you can host stuff just as long as it doesnt affect other users.

Nothing, unfortunately, as you cannot drop the phone if you have ntl cable TV.
Although you can have the broadband without the phone, you cannot have the DTV without the phone - ntl bundle them together.

Re: upgrading to 2mb service from 1mb help this
I thinking about geting rid of the cable TV and phone as we use BT as our main phone as the NTl is just a private line to the room the computer is in and to be fair is never used much.
And Were thinking about Sky digital which is more or less the same as my cable TV.
i think the package is about £13 so if I got only the 2MB i'd save a few pounds well £6 to be exact.
My main point is would i notice this 2Mb over My 1Mb when i have this FM game hosting in mind and there sometime 12 players in the game, so i'm guessing upload would be key here. Or i'm I just ****ing money away and i'll see nothing much with 2MB in helping with this game
