Re: home page open on start up

Have you checked your startup folder for entries? Spyware, virus and adware scans would be good too.
What programs starts when you boot your computer up?

Right then in IE go to tools (click) then to (drop down) Internet options.

The top box (of the three) should give you the option of 'use current' 'use default' or 'use blank'. Click on whichever you prefer then (apply and Ok) then exit!

Sorry I forgot to mention that often whichever homepage is pre set is on your system causes this problem.

Re: home page open on start up

Start > Run

Type "regedit" (without the quotes)

Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run

look for values referring to iexplore or a URL link here.

Also try,

Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run

If you find something, make sure you save a backup before changing/deleting it. DO NOT DELETE the whole RUN key, just the value you are interested in. You can export the key before any changes, then re-import it after if necessary.
