No you need a newsreader and a news group account for premium downloads(not mp3 if your on ntl then you can use news.ntlworld.com)

newsbin pro or newsrover will sort you out.Import nzb files and download list.

I use newsbin pro

You need to input server details Im with giganews so you input
news.giganews.com under server section
tick requires authentication
input user name and password.
Download nzb files from newzbin
Click file then load download list
download all files including par 2 files(if files are archived if your after mp3 then you wont need to carry on)
Make sure you have a copy of win rar and a copy of quick par.
Goto download directory
Open any of the par 2 files with quickpar this will make sure the post is complete(often theres the odd missing file or broken rar)quickpar will repair if ness
then recompile archive with winrar
if iso or img file burn to disc with nero or dvd decrypter

So if I download Newsbin Pro for an example how do I download this file? What do I have to do? http://www.newzbin.com/browse/post/1482899/

Look above for your step by step The file your after is an archive so you need to follow full instructions.Alt binaries.ftd I believe is available on news.ntlworld .com so you will not have to subscribe to a premium newsgroup

Re: http://www.newzbin.com/ - Help

dont ask me I only sit here
I downloaded loads of stuff off the ntl news server and never had a problem.
There are plenty of premium news servers out there that are quite cheap.Easynews for one givers 20 gig of download and is very easy to use(no need for a newsreader) I always point newbies to easynews first

No, it's not legal, unless you own the original material.

Depends what you're downloading - if it's copyrighted material then, of course, you're right, Bifta.

Re: http://www.newzbin.com/ - Help

ntl news servers are crap unless you are on the ball 24/7 (retention of articles) and even then their coverage is even crappy. Speeds are top notch though.

Good news servers - Giganews, Usenetserver, 100proofnews, newshosting.

If you are going to use newzbin and use nzbs to get your files use grabit - you don't really need anything else. In this day and age, who needs to wait and sift through headers when you have indexing sites? Nothing much else to it really. About legal issues, I've never heard of anybody who has been prosecuted for downloading warez off usenet, no need to worry over it.
