Erm High Definition images are being sourced and added almost daily. Google Earth is in its' infancy at the moment and will surely improve greatly over the next 12 months but the biggest problem at the moment for Google is sourcing the necessary high res images that they need and incorporating them into the tool.

I'll say..At the moment I'm trying to get DEM terrains to be able to convert via 3DEM to useable data to use in programs like Bryce and Terragen.Let me tell you that it's damned hard getting good resolution anything that represents the world,moon,Mars or anywhere else in this universe.Well not that you don't have to pay for..Free and high res is hard.

was using this the other day... off to Barca and Madrid and managed to find out where my hotels are and see all the sites before i even get there.. could have just used that and stayed at home

Only now been shown this AWESOME Tool. I can see my Garden & everything.... Lots in UK not yet Mapped. But my House & all of Swansea is AWESOME. (2yrs old but good)
Some nice reading on the past 10 pages, I loved Vegas & Area 51  Cant see the RAF Base

Anyone else noticed that the resolution of some of the satellite images is now down to 3" per pixel - simply stunning!
Try Las Vegas where you can see people lying round the pools:
