Question Ntl - Aol Bb

Hi there, not sure if anyone can help me. I am a AOL BB over NTL customer and cannot connect becauese AOL find it impossible to send me a CD with the drivers on. NTL came on the day they said and installed a AMBIT 200 modem (i think) . Does anyone have any ideas how I can get this service to work. AOL don't offer any advise and cannot seam to deliver a CD. This is my last attempt ?

Re: Ntl - Aol Bb

As AOL are your ISP, then it should be for AOL rather than ntl to resolve this. ntl simply provide the physical wiring for this service, AOL should provide the service and support.

You need to contact and badger AOL into resolving this issue and providing the neccessary support software. If AOL cannot do this, then I'd suggest you cancel with them, and contact NTL sales, who will be pleased to sort you out.

Hi nichoi and to Cableforum.

The only drivers on the CD are the USB drivers. Ethernet is by far the most preferred connection method and you should already have the drivers for this on your system if it has an ethernet port. There are USB drivers available online with a link to them in the "articles" section of Cableforum.

Re: Ntl - Aol Bb

AOL - Probably the most unhelpfull people on earth. When you subscribe to AOL you are expected to live in the AOL capsule. That is, use aol line, modem and nasty browser(opinion). I have an aol connection which hooks into my D-link router which looks after my network. All computers on my network use the firefox browser. Although I was paying £29.99 a month for the line I was entitled to zero support from aol. Any problems I have had, have had to be sorted out by myself or friends. Unless you agree to live in the aol capsule they are not interested. I have stayed with aol simply because they reduced my monthly fee to £19.99 when I phoned up to cancel.
