Bluetooth Headset - Bargain Alert
Sony Ericsson HBH-608 at carphone warehouse - List price £79.99
On offer for this week only @ £49.99 in stores only though.
Got one yesterday, nice bit of kit and works perfectly, even the sales guy was surprised at the price!
Hope this helps some one!

Re: Bluetooth Headset - Bargain Alert
Good price but you don't half look a pratt in them don't you?
Especially as people walk around with them on all day even when they aren't in a car etc....
It's a bad move medically for increasing the risk of ear infections too....

I can't remember which store I was in, but I am 80% sure that this is the same model I saw at about 35 quid. It was certainly an SE one, and one of the smaller models...but I thought it had the miniscule LCD screen on. If my total memory loss (brought on by BlueTooth raditation, no doubt) wears off, I'll let you all know where I saw it.

I don't understand that either...I thought that people walked around with hands-free kits to avoid plonking a radio transmitter against their grey matter...so why replace the radio transmitter on the phone with a transmitter in the earpiece...which is arguably closer to your brain!!!
I have one, I use it in the car to be legal, it sits in the drinks holder until the phone rings then it goes in my ear to have the conversation, after which it comes right back out again!

Re: Bluetooth Headset - Bargain Alert
The thing that amuses me the most is that you see some people walking down the street almost like they are on the catwalk, showing them off. It's subtle but you can tell that they are proud of their new ear extensions.
To me they just look daft. Not only have they got a bright blue/silver thing sticking out of their ear but they look like they are talking to themselves very loudly....
Modern day, inadvertant clowns?

Re: Bluetooth Headset - Bargain Alert
Alot more people should buy them.
I've lost count on the number of A*$£&)( £S that have nearly crashed into me with my young nephew and neice in the car with a phone illegally to there ears and the glare and swear ant you for being in the way.
These people should get banned for six months regarles if it costs them there jobs

It's the models with flashing lights on the back of the earpiece that really get me. Why would anyone want to make themselves look like a Borg? Don't they realise that people are walking down the street behind them thinking, 'what a pratt...'

Considering I was going there for that particular headset and was expecting to pay nigh on £80 I thought it was a bargain by saving £30...

A bluetooth radio transmitter has a far lower output power than your cell phone. after all the signal has to go a few meters not miles!

no but u put its transmitter right next to your head when you are talking on the phone.
also bluetooth works on a different freqency, although maybe there should be some research into wether bluetooth headsets are bad for you
