Advertised deals for existing users
Hi all,
I got a leaflet with my ntl bill a couple of days ago and it had an offer of a famly pack deal for existing customers but didn't say exactly what the offer was only that you had to ring a number to get it (think it was 0800 052 2100 but i can't be sure until i find the leaflet again) i wont be able to ring the number until next saturday and was wondering if anybody on here knows what the offer is/rang the number.
i hope it's good value because i need to get rid of analogue fast before my old c&w box becomes part of the vcr

Hi w1NN1e to cableforum,
not sure on the offer maybe an incentive to change over to digital, NTL have so many offers running that it's easy to lose track.

Re: Advertised deals for existing users
Thanks for the welcome
The correct number is 0800 052 0210 and i'll give it a ring if i can get chance today and i hope it's something really tempting like 6 months free family pack or around that area There is another number on the reverse with offers for existing broadband customers which is 0800 052 0537 but i'll save that for another time.
Maybe it'll be something we can all benefit from? Anyway i'm sure i'll have a grin as big as the one above after i ring.

Re: Advertised deals for existing users
You were right orangebird, that's what i got offered but at least it's an offer for existing customers as well as the new ones and there can be hope that more will come for the loyal customer instead of having to threaten to cancel.

Re: Advertised deals for existing users
They sent me a family pack deal through the post, the other day, nearly phoned up and swore very loudly at them. I can't get Cable in my area, as they havn't layed cables yet It's pretty annoying at we used to be with telewest and got some good deals, until we moved. Now i want the same deals with NTL but we can only get NTL broadband and phone.

I'm thinking it over right now but i'm doing a lot of decorating and some building work is planned soon so if i did go for it this week it would be constantly moved/unplugged/covered in fumes and assorted dust for a long time. Maybe around christmas time.
Still not happy with seperate tv and line rental charges but i'm sure it'll work out.

Sorry if I'm wrong here, but don't broadband and TV come down the same cable?
So if you have ntl broadband & phone, surely you can get TV as well?

Looking at other threads I would guess that Darkies Gem is on NTL Freedom ADSL.

Re: Advertised deals for existing users
Just had my mum ring the number on the flyer because she's getting less and less channels and digital is the only way she can get most of her fav channels back on.
She got through to a nice sales rep and was instantly told after asking what offers she could get that she could have the family pack for £21.50 for 6 months inc. line rental (not what i was offered but still a good deal) and then found out that she had being charged for a second stb which didn't exist and was given a credit of around £170
She was flying around the room at this point, not because of anger at being overcharged but because she didn't need to pay anything until the credit ran out which will be some time away!
This just adds to my being an ntl fanboy

Re: Advertised deals for existing users
So 8 months ish free NTL? Cool, at least the person on the other end of the phone took time to realise that your mum was paying for something she hadn't got. How did your mum miss it's listing on her bill though lol.

Re: Advertised deals for existing users
I'm not sure it did from what i've seen. It popped up after she said she wanted to switch and the rep asked if she wanted to have 2 boxes for that as well.
