Find sydney (i just typed that in to google earth) and go north a bit till you see the harbour bridge and it's to the east of the south end of the harbour bridge.

Yes.The coastline didn't seem to get the high res treatment that the southern part of Sidney got.

Re: Google Earth?

While you're looking at Oz, Canberra is quite interesting, especially (what I assume is) the Parliament building, to the top left corner if you use this location file:

Unfortunately not Maybe sometime in the future they will update the images, they are still working on the improvements.

I spy with my little eye

I spy with my little eye!

Whilst browsing England in Google Earth at the w/e I spotted a detailed area around Swindon. Zooming in I found an airbase and even further I found a suspicious looking plane parked on the tarmac. (Bookmark attached)

Some googling and map reading later confirmed that I have 'probably' found a U2 spy plane sitting on the tarmac at RAF Fairford! Why is a U2 on an RAF base ? Turns out the Air Tattoo was held at Fairford on 16/17 July and the list of static exhibts includes a U2S. Not sure why it is there after the event (can't see anyother exhibits still there) but still a curious find - a satelite finding a spy plane

But you have a lot more to keep an eye on... Like us lot when we are being our usual backchatting, backstabbing and cantankerous selves.

I've got bored with it all especially as the Search engine with the Google Earth is so awful...Not a patch on the real thing..

Those detailed images around Swindon were on Google Maps & Earth weeks (possibly longer) before the Air Tattoo.

The detailed area starts just above my house, just missed me!

natewill18 is an unknown quantity at this point
Much Needed Improvements

I think Google Earth should add more 3d structure to the whole program(world) as well as putting the actual picture of the building and structure that the 3d objects represent. Also High Res Please!!!(like everyone on this thread has been screaming for). I wish there was like a Googkle Earth HD. Even though it seems demanding, this is what they get paid for. "I might even fork over a dollar or two for these improvements. They have something revolutionary on their hands and they need to focus on this software. What do you guys think ?
