My NTL Experience
Just thought i'd tell you about my NTL experience.....
I wanted to try the free speed upgrade via the ntlworld website.
As i had an STB i had to contact CS.
I did and spoke to a nice bloke who said i needed to replace my c&w pace box with a new one (he said it would more than likley be a samsung box)
I agreed and a date was set.
This was a month ago...
Yesterday as promised an NTL engineer arrived at my house and installed a new STB and away he went.
When i got home from work i had no channels but the engineer explained to Mrs Grandmaster that we would have to wait 2 hours.
2 1/2 -3 hours later my the box sprang in to life and my channels appeared.
For some reason i had lost my movie channels and the others, i phoned up CS this morning spoke to another nice bloke, who informed me they had placed me on the basic package, no problem he said i'll check your old account and upgrade the channel package to what you had.
I'm at work at the moment so i will check when i get home.
All in all i am very satisfied with NTL, all their staff where very curteous (sp?)
WELL DONE NTL
(Oh and i can change TV channels in the bedroom with my tv sender now Whoohooo)

Re: My NTL Experience
Yay!
Another positive for NTL, I personally love having NTL, they are quick to come out to repair faults and have been really courteous to me whenever I've rang them.
They're much better than sky who when ever you ring take ages to answer and engineer visits are few and far between and often weeks away and not to mention you have to pay for them after 12 months which some people fail to realise when threatening to leave Cable!

That's because with Sky you own the equipment, with cable you lease it so it's NTL responsibility to fix it and take the cost hit.
