Exclamation podcasting/podcasts

Wow did a search before i started this to find no one else has asked.... stunned

anyhow, 4g 40Gig ipod latest software, Itunes 4.9, loving it for music but this whole podcast thing has me a little perplexed. I've been to sites where u can listen to them but none really that let u download them.

i'd like to find one or even many bout stuff i'm into, even podcasters who like kinda the same genres but u get my drift.

So i've not much clue bout the mechanics of downloading/listening/file types etc. In my head it should be like anythin else i use the ipod for but somehow upon reading the sites no one has really said plainly that yes it is.

Once that has been sorted, anyone got recommendations for sites that deal with the plethora of podcasts available out there well.

The wife has an ishuffle and is currently doing her Phd, so again recommendations for academic (Social History is the field) sites would be appreciated.

Any help this fine Summer evening would be appreciated.

Re: podcasting/podcasts

The new version of iTunes allows you to download podcasts. Just go to the ITMS and select Podcasts on the left hand side. Subscribe to the ones you want, and let iTunes do the rest.

Re: podcasting/podcasts

Thanks for that info. I will update my Itunes and have a go.

Talking of Ipods and podcasting, check this out for all the budding DJ's who are giving up their vinyl and going digital...DJ Ipod Station
