Anyone out there successfully imported contacts to Skype? I'm trying to but keep getting an access violation error message which is apparently common to pre 1.2 versions - but I've got 1.2.
I've tried skype.com's knowledgebase to no avail. I've tried skype support to no avail (infuriatingly it always chucks you back to knowledgbase). I've tried the skype forum to no response (nobody loves me).
You could always export the contact list from outlook in the form of CSV (Comma Seperated Values) and then import that into SkyPE (it should handle it, as do most programs, although I haven't played with Skype yet)
This could be a very short thread! Started trying to import again so I could post the error message and..... looks like it's gonna work this time. It's just referencing my contacts against skype users now which could take some time.
You must have exerted a benign influence upon me for which I'm jolly grateful! I'll let you know the outcome when it's finally done.
I often get people coming to see me (or calling me with a PC problem).
When I go to see them, and they try to demonstrate the problem, everything works ok.
They always put it down to devine influence as well.
Well don't get too spiritual because.... aaaaargh. It's imported, then cross reference with skype users worldwide and only imported possible matches. What I want to do is import from Outlook to Skypeout.
