Re: news24 interactive
I beleive this requires an update to the current Bromley 3.1 software (and possibly Langley 3.1, I'm not sure).
If it's any consolation, it works very nicely (if a little slowly) on Telewest, and with better picture quality than Sky's version, too...

Re: news24 interactive
Thank you for that reply. It does seem odd that if Sky, Telewest and Freeview can manage this service but ntl seems as though it can't News 24 interactive has been around for a fair while now but ntl has still chosen not to offer a service which every ntl subscriber pays for out of their licence fee.
Mind you, given that any form of interactive service causes the set-top boxes not to work then maybe it might be best NOT to offer News 24 Interactive because every time I tried to watch Score Interactive, it said "service not available at this time" and then crashed the box.

Re: news24 interactive
Well that was sort of the point I was making. Telewest use the same Pace boxes as NTL, and their software is based on Liberate 1.2 as NTL's is. The difference is that Telewest are using a later version than NTL (in fact, IIRC, it's actually the way the Pace drivers handle things that's the problem). When NTL get around to updating B3.1, then the multiscreen immediately becomes feasable (and, in fact, likely).

Re: news24 interactive
it's not gonna happen mate ! why would ntl provide you with an interactive service when that's what you pay for ? they don't work like that.

I think he's went to find another thread he can post in about how bad Ntl is, how much he loves Sky, how bad Ntl is and how glad he is that he left.
Not forgetting how bad he thinks Ntl is.
And now back on topic...

Re: news24 interactive
So .....
anyone important from ntl: reading this forum?
As Rillington asks, What is ntl:'s response?? Do we have a date when a full interactive service will be available for all?
I thought Cable was supposed to be the superior service ... with the greatest potential! When's it going to be realised??
BTW Rillington ... congrats on your 101st post!!
