Question web site idiots guide.

What are the first steps to building a very basic website using NTL webspace?

Re: web site idiots guide.

Hi mick,

There's some really good info (and some good links as well) in this article here - thanks to Simon (Nemesis) for putting it together.

http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/article.php?a=5

Failing that I'm sure there are plenty of other posts within the Forum that can give you some good information, the Search button should help you locate them.

If you still need more info I'm sure that there are loads of people that will be willing to give you advice on how to get started (and on how to solve your problems as you go along).

Good luck, and have fun.

No problems, it's nice to have you here

Like I said, if you get stuck at any stage just post back.

There's a whole host of good people here (with a lot of useful, and very varied, skills) one of them should be able to help you with just about any query you've got.

And, when your site is up an running, why not post the address here:

http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/sh...ad.php?t=28264

This gives people the chance to offer constructive criticism of your site/techniques (if you ask for it). Posting in that thread also identifies your site as your own, puts people on notice that the reason you are posting it is for views/advice, and stops you being accused of spamming.

Good luck with your site development, hope you enjoy your stay here at CF
