"IE could not open the Internet site..."
I don't want this to be a thread based on IE6 vs Firefox!!
When I go to www.prowrestlingscoops.com it's very hit-or-miss as to whether to site will open. Using IE6 I often get the above message (with 'operation aborted') however with Firefox it never happens.
I never get that message on any other site however it does have loads of pop-ups (which I manage to block), could that be something to do with it?
And before anyone suggests it, no I won't use Firefox when I go to that site as IE6 is my preference!!

Maybe the pop up blocker is being aggressive with it's actions and is stopping the site dead in it's tracks because it is refusing to allow the pop ups from launching?

Maybe, but I can get to other site which have lots of pop-ups - the blocker I use is the IE one and it's on the medium setting, not what I'd consider to me a major problem

Could also be getting blocked if you have any content blocking to do with porn as there are quite a few mentions of the word nude, playboy etc in the html.

Possibly however doesn't IE give you a message about adult content if your settings disallow it?

Re: "IE could not open the Internet site..."
I'm just wondering if IE is seeing so much pop up activity on the page that it gives up and just blocks the page content from loading altogether. It's even got popunder links and there is so much "active" content on that page I'm not suprised IE fails to load it now and then.
