'A bit dodgy'? Very dodgy I would say. From what i can see, with Longhorn you are essentially handing over administrators rights to MS and it's partners.
IIRC, Microsoft were threatening us with this when SP2 came out and it got quietly dropped. I mean, who do Microsoft want to p*ss off? The record and movie companies (who possibly don't contribute anything to Microsoft)? or the people who buy their products (who most definitely do)?

Maybe because it essientially does away with multitasking. If you wanted to tab out, mid game, and then tab back in, I wonder how long it would take to keep loading and unloading the desktop. How much resources does it take to render a near-static desktop anyway?

Depends on how many icons you have and what background you have set.

I'm still going to wait for the WFG 2 graphics cards to come out, may as well wait.
