Post Website Graphic Transparency

Hi, Is there a program that can make a background in a picture transparent and is not too difficult to use? I've been using Photoshop 5 LE. It good but takes a while. I can't take my photos on a plain background (plain enough anyway!), so i've been drawing around my image with a red line. The i can fill the rest of the page red and there for use the lasso tool more effectively. Then just save it with a transparent image. This is all abit much as i have about 50 images to do! I don't mind spending time on it but it will take ages....

If anyone has some tip they are very welcome.

Thanks.

Are they GIFs, and do the have a solid colour background? www.gifworks.com has a colour replace feature where you can replace a background cololur with transparent. If the background colour does appear in the foreground though, you will get 'holes' in your pic.

TBH though, with most pictures the foreground image is blended into the background to make it look better, so when you remove the background, they will go all fuzzy. Most pictures need trimming like that.

Re: Website Graphic Transparency

I find it takes a while but photoshop is the way to do it if you have time to cut out. Then, untick the background layer and save the file on File menu, then save for web, and select .png as file extension and tick the box "transparency" and it should do what you want.

If you have a plain background it is much simpler to cut out ofcourse.
Good luck.
