MP3 music editing software.

im looking for some MP3 music editing software, i want to be able to fade music out and merge a piece of music with something else, also i want to be able strip vocals and add vocals to a music peice.

so does anyone have any recommendations ?

http://audacity.sourceforge.net.

Almost as powerful as Cool Edit 2000 (which Audition is descended from) and free to boot.

Although, kronas, it sounds like you need a multitrack sound editor. Audacity doesn't do that by default, but I am sure I saw a Studio plug in that enabled it to do that.

This question was asked before once and it is very hard to actually fully strip vocals from a tune completly without taking out some of the other parts of the music in the process.

If you can find the accapella then you can use that to put on top of your other piece of music.

ok i have just tried out adobe audition and have no idea what im doing.... anything simpler or is there a guide for it ?
