Re: Building my own PC
Overclockers have venice 3800xp chips in stock and are allowing pre order on the 3700 and 4000 san diego chips available soon
http://forums.amd.com/index.php?showtopic=45014
venice vs san diego
If the prices quoted are correct I think I might have to make new friends accross the pond

They are ultras not sure why they come up as GTs.. in my device manager they just come up as NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Series GPU, but in the geforce settings window (screenshot) theyre listed as ultras....
Ive also done a little overclocking, and my 3dmark05 score is now 9875

Re: Building my own PC
Ok, you are all depressing me now
I have an Athlon Xp 3000+, 1Gb of DDR, nvidia GeForce 5700 - 256Mb card, mirrored 160Gb SATA drives, and a fresh install of XP - my 3DMark05 score in less than 700
Mind you - it runs HL2 and CS:Source with full resolution etc really well..

Pretty sure I did - but will run it again to make sure

True - but it does seem a bit low for a resonably spec'd system.
Maybe I need to look at whether it is set up correctly (jumpers etc) as the CPU never really works hard, and the temp never seems to go above 30C
