Slow performance in the worthing area?

Is anyone else noticing slow performance in the Worthing area?

Over the last few days i've noticed things like webpages taking ages to load, that and images not showing up and instead coming up with red X's
For instance, half the smilies on this forum haven't loaded, nor has the banner at the top
Loading this new thread page took about 10-15 seconds.

I've run checks for spyware and the like, nothing on my machine

This address is the NTL head-end, the cable modem termination system (CMTS) or UBR. The blocking of traceroute requests will not be an issue contributing to your performance question. However, it might indicate that you are running a firewall application which is too tightly configured.

The most likely cause of your problems loading web pages is a temporarily misbehaving NTL transparent web proxy cache, unless you are also having performance problems with non-web protocols such as FTP.

Re: Slow performance in the worthing area?

Hmm, not sure on the other protocols, I just know this morning it was really bad
Trying to load this forum or any other site I normally goto and they would partially load, but not fully, then it'd just time out
Damn frustrating
Seems to have settled down again now.

Guessing hastings will go through the Brighton UBR -

Broadband customers in the following areas may currently be experiencing a degraded service such as slow browsing or intermittent access to email. In some cases service may also be lost completely.

Our engineers are working to resolve the issues as soon as possible.

Areas affected: Bishop Stortford, Brighton and Harrogate .

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Looks as though there has been problems in the area for some time as that was posted way back in December and is ongoing.

Taken from here
