Great white attack

Desperately trying to hang on as he was shaken like †œan ant in a jarââ‚ ¬Ãƒâ€šÃ‚ Mr Currie grabbed one of the bars, putting his arm within inches of the sharkÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šà ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s teeth. When one of the buoys burst the cage began to sink at an angle and the shark tried to get into the 3ft cage from above. In a desperate attempt to save his life Mr Currie, a father of one, was forced to surface for air, risking being caught by the shark, before swimming to the bottom of the cage and safety.
All the while the shark was biting through the metal and getting closer.

What the hell was he doing getting into the cage without scuba gear on???
The saddest part is this shark is likely to be hunted down, and killed, although more likely other great whites will be killed instead.

No it wont, in south africa, great whites are a protected species. but these tours are bringing sharks closer to humans, and closer to beaches used by humans. the sharks are now getting more of a taste for humans.
This is why there are now more attacks in Australia, because baiting/chumping (can't remember what it is called) is done not far from shore, becuase companies make more money by doing more tours per day, for the thrill seeking public. I think it is time to stop these tours. if you want to swim with sharks, go skinny dipping with one.
