Upgrade problem from 300k to 750k HELP!
On 1st March I rang and said I wanted to upgrade from my 300k to 750k because I knew the upgrades were coming and 1GB a month just was not enough for me.
So they did something and said it should be upgraded within 24hrs. But it hadn't done... It's now 12th March and after having rang 6 times it still has NOT been upgraded. And I believe I am currently being charged for the 750k service, but still on the 300k!
I've given up on them now and am hoping you guys are able to help

I dont think its 1GB, its 3GB. And 300k users have a choice whether to stick with 300k or upgrade to 1MB.

Re: Upgrade problem from 300k to 750k HELP!
Hey Paul thanks for the welcome
I am talking about upgrading my package from the 300k/1mbit to 750k/2mbit, not the actual upgrade from 300k to 1mbit.
I have tried upgrading through the website and it says my username is not the registered username for my modem. So when I ask for the details to be sent to me by email it sends me the username and password I just put in!! I'm not sure if the upgrade would even work through the website because as I say, I've rang 6 times and each time the operator has said it should upgrade within 24 hours.
Tindo, sorry I meant 3GB. And again, I am asking about changing my package, not about the free speed upgrade. Sorry I should have made this clear.
Any other suggestions?

Thanks for the help guys but Debsy42 has sorted it out. Apparently it was stuck in pending? Or something...
Only just joined this forum and I can see you guys are really helpful. I shall be making frequent visits from now on - an invaluable resource.

Re: Upgrade problem from 300k to 750k HELP!
I don't like the idea of 3Gb/month cap, but I didn't fancy paying £7 a month extra either - so I stay on 300k as long as that's still on the table, and re-evalute NTL and other suppliers when it isn't - it's a case of deciding if the initial hit of ADSL activation (yes, there is a BT line) is worth taking for the much wider choice of packages.

remember the 3gb cap isn't a hard cap, most they'll do is inform you of your usage until they get the thing online where they tell you how much you have used. So go ahead go to 1mb, until the hard caps come in anyway, then you can just go up to 2mb or drop to the new 300k service coming out later this year (at least that's what i've heard).
