I have been a customer of I-Web for over a year, now, I can confirm that their customer service belies the cheap as chips pricing. Any support tickets I have needed to raise have been dealt with quickly & efficiently.

Also the package itself, with a comprehensive Control Panel, which includes the Fantastico auto script installer, makes for an very good introduction to running a website for a n00b, like me.

I use http://www.hostlogical.com/?a_aid=23&a_bid=8
unlimited PHP/MySQL/CGI/Perl, loads of free utilities, and only £9.99 per year for their basic package.

I-web solutions are brilliant, I've only cancelled my reseller and normal accounts because I didn't need the accounts anymore.

As for 1&1 avoid at all costs.

If you take a look at the footer of each page, you will find that they provide the server that Cable Forum runs on, and I can assure you that we are more than happy with the customer service they provide.

Re: Does NTL webspace (server?) support Php and mySQL

this i-web does look intresting... but i'll stick with the company's i've been using for a couple of years now... Penguin_Computer_Services, Prices aren't really better than I-Web, but i must day PCS, have top quality CS too... very quick replies, always let know of any minor downtime due to any upgrades etc... one reason why i'd keep PCS over I-Web is the control Pannel, I prefer the Ensim Control Pannel over the the Cpanel by far... used both of them frequently over the years, and i always find that ensim comes out on top in my opinion...

Re: Does NTL webspace (server?) support Php and mySQL

I would strongly recomend I-Web for the hosting. I know several people who use them and they have no problems at all !

P.S. That avatar looks rather familiar

Re: Does NTL webspace (server?) support Php and mySQL

Sorry to go against the grain, but I feel I should share my experiences with I-web. I can certainly vouch for the quality of the customer services, which was always prompt and friendly. My issue was that the servers they use were unreliable. My site was down frequently and I know from looking at the I-web forums I was not alone. In the end we had to move to another host, from whom we have had no issues. I know that I-web was aware of the issues and working towards a resolution, but my experiences were far from positive.

Sorry chaps, but I signed up on the basis of recommendations on this board, and feel I should share my experiences accordingly.
