Re: ok whats this
You probably won't notice any difference (except having to reboot less) till early March.
After that you'll probably have access to Video on Demand.

Re: ok whats this
Go to your on demand. If there is a difference there then you now have true VOD. Think Cardiff got updated this morning

Re: ok whats this
It don't think it will be turned on yet, so you're unlikely to see any major differences.
Can you check something for me? Press Page Up, Page Down, and then Blue on your remote control. Select More twice, and reply with the SW Version shown. Thanks.

Re: ok whats this
It needs to be Page Up, then Page Down (not Channel Up/Down).

Re: ok whats this
SW is short for Software, and the version number will tell us whether you are on the VoD code or not. Nothing in the string of letters and numbers can identify you in any way.

Re: ok whats this
Well, I've just rebooted my STB, and can confirm that regions fed from the Cardiff and Swansea headends have had a software update. It seems we're now on 3_2_P12N.
The biggest difference (noticable right now anyway) is how much faster the software is. Once the box has finished starting up, things fairly whoosh along compared to previously! Also, any branding left over that said "ntl:home" has been changed to "ntl:", including the startup screen.

Only for some STB models. And you'll need to put the STB into standby or reboot to get the download at the moment.
