General news: New linksys firmware

Just pointing out I've noticed a new firmware for linksys routers came avaliable on June 24, 2003

Although the ftp server doesn't seem to be working.

I'm impressed with how easy Linksys firmware upgrades are to do - once you realise there is one

Anyone know what the x-box "compatibility- not supported by Microsoft" means, in this release?

I havn't got an x-box - I just wondered?

Maybe it's something to do with the PnP.

PS: I got from the ftp in the end.

Odd. The Linksys firmware was already XBox Live compatible - has been for a few versions now, since UPnP NAT traversal was added.

Wonder what they've changed?

I hate vague release notes.

Maybe something to do with multiple xboxes?

I've done some reading:
http://www.broadbandreports.com/foru...e=flat;start=0

http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/mo...sx/7779&page=1

Some report an improvement in browsing speed. Some say they have problems connecting to game servers, but others don't, could just be flukey upgrades.
