Rugby narrow screen!
Can anyone tell me why today, Sat my analogue signal is giving me a widescreen picture of France V Scotland yet NTL's dig broadcast is in 4:3 format! Bizarre? This happens a lot with 'international' broadcasts.

Re: Rugby narrow screen!
That's exactly the case. The production etc was done by French TV, and was therefore in 4:3. The studio stuff, done by the BBC, was 16:9. The Wales/England game later will be 16:9 (to England I hope!).
Incidently, interactive's working fantastically for me here in Poole. Both the rugby and Score. Nice to see it being put to good use.

Your analogue signal wasn't giving you a widescreen picture, your TV was stretching the 4:3 picture to fit the screen
