TV without phone..have the rules changed
Just playing with the NTL site, and it *appears* to be letting me order the telly base pack for a tenner a month,on its own, with no phone line  Is the phone no longer compulsory?!?
(a quick forum search showed up nothing relevant)

If this is the case then I will be on to NTL first thing tomorrow morning.
I took out a new contract a couple of weeks ago and they told me that I HAD to have the phone line as well!!

It says on the ntl site...
' *Price excludes your telephone line rental which must be purchased with your TV package.'

Don't get too excited just yet, I didn't actually place an order, but I did select base pack only and it went to the screen asking for current and old address detials........

Or indeed excited at all  Ah well! They could be having 10 or even 19.50 a month out of me, but instead the cable will remain unused. No way am I dropping Tesco net (which ironically NTL provide) cos I can use it on two phone lines for one monthly payment

That's what I'd like to do, but until I just tried the above I thought I would be wasting my time.
Don't like dealing with sales people unless I know *EXACTLY* what I want, otherwise they end up deciding for me - and it is generally expensive
