I think Channel 4 will get more business as Disney+ is a major streamer, many of whose customers don't watch Channel 4. And the big deal is not the box sets but the inclusion of the live HD Channel 4 feed which makes Disney+ a distributor of a UK public-service broadcaster's linear channel. And Disney+ benefits as it wants to be more than just a distributor of Disney's back catalogue of Star Wars, Marvel, etc.
So what are the payment arrangement? This is always confidential, can be reciprocal if both get roughly the same benefits, can be advertising revenue-sharing or, perhaps most likely, Disney pays Channel 4 a licencing fee.

Clearly Disney can see the benefits, but it's beyond me, if they are paying for it.

As I said, I did try it.
Tried on-demand for a couple of programmes I recorded overnight. One not available with unknown with other episodes/ The other one also not available.
That's without the hoops of registering(for some inexplicable reason), having to sign in again and again, have to switch to PC to do those, wait for the app to start with copious black or white screens, displaying in UHD when the content isn't in UHD and might not even be in HD. In all that time and could've easily watched 15 minutes of a recorded programme.

My God, the TiVo system seems to be very complicated compared with what I'm experiencing with the e60 software.

Nothing to do with TiVo. That's the point. Using TiVo is simple and straightforward. It's going outside of TiVo where it gets complicated.
