The EU isn't as clean and sparkling as it makes out, underneath the glamour the cracks are showing and it's falling to bits . . much like that new roof you had done cheap by those scruffy chaps in a rusty white van (probably Russians, everything else seems to be)

Not so much a straw man argument, more like a chorus line of straw men in the touring musical version of the Wizard of Oz.
Could you enlighten me as to which Countries the EU has invaded this century (unlike Russia, which has invaded Georgia and Ukraine), or when the EU has sent assassins to our shores to kill people (Salisbury), or when EU-backed forces shot down a passenger plane killing nearly 300 passengers and crew (Malaysia Airlines Flight 17)?

Re: Britain outside the EU
When it was announced that we would have a vote on leaving the EU, I, and I suspect, most people already knew which way they would vote. No amount of campaigning would change our minds. So the majority of us voted to leave, but the Remoaners won't accept that, especially the politicians who wanted a fat salary on the EU gravy train.
Anyway, Burnham now says that the Russians didn't interfere, so the gaslighting from Labour continues.

I think it was far less a case of ‘leave’ winning, than ‘remain’ losing, and especially complete failure to explain their case. Rather than massively emphasising the benefits of staying a member of the EU, it tended to be negative - x million job depend on membership and they will all go the day after we leave; the UK will be a third-world country within months of leaving. And this was patently and obviously not going to happen.
Of course it wasn’t all on the same side, remind me again how much extra we could spend on the NHS if we weren’t ‘giving handouts’ to the rest of the EU?
I would be astonished if the Russians didn't try to influence the vote, they would be stupid not to. But Russian bot farms didn’t have a vote, at best they can spread misinformation, but if people believe it then so be it.
Think of it like this, if the CBI urges people to vote Conservative because... or a Trade Union urges people to vote Labour because....are they ‘influencing’ the vote?

I never knew life in the UK outside of the EU, I wasn't born until a fair few years after the UK joined the EU.
Leaving the EU has NOT affected me really other than purchasing items from the EU cost's a little more than it did before, other than that, I have not really seen an impact either good or bad.
We have had politician's cause more harm than Brexit ever has/could/would or will cause because they were more interested in as you say the "Gravy Train" job's as an "MEP" and the "MEP" exclusive shopping centre and bank's.
If we end up back in the EU which I think we will since Starmer started the backdoor rejoining and Burnham is trying everything he possibly can to get back in, then it will cause more harm that leaving did, if you believe some of the stuff being said online, but then others think it will be the 3rd coming and the UK will miraculously no longer have any issues with migration, money, fuel, utilities etc etc both sides are complete lunatics.
If we did go back into the EU, there would be some benefits not many but there would be some, but there would be two major downsides that people seem to want to ignore:
1: We would lose the £ and be forced to take the Euro
2: This is the bad one mad nutter that is Von Der Leyen wants the EU Budget to increase by more than 30% for the next 7 years, with mainly the "larger" countries paying into it, meaning we would be one if we did go back in, and it appears many in Germany and other places are not happy with it and are voting in "Far Right" parties basically anyone who is not Left is "Far Right", but they are apparently being voted in, in order to control migration from African countries and Asian countries in order to reduce the budget requirements for dealing with the migrants both legal and illegal, as well as apparently wanting to have more freedoms in their countries to control their own healthcare, energy and food sources, instead of relying on who the EU decide are "good" and what is "good" to use.
The problem for me is we have had several governments who are spineless, who refuse to do anything to help the people born in this country, who has legally moved to this country and instead are more focussed on what they can take from people, what they can take for themselves and what they can give to other countries instead of this country.
We should be prioritizing getting our energy production under control, water production, storage and supply under control, health care and food under control, and other things but sadly we have spineless and clueless governments, filled with people making millions of us each year and only concerned with how much more they can take and it doesn't matter if we are in the EU or not, that will not change.
The only way to change is to leave the UK and the EU for countries who prefer to look after themselves first, others second, one day I might win the lottery, get than £2m or more and then I will finally be able to afford a passport which will take 90% of it and with what's left by a plane ticket to somewhere else and never come back!
