The EU isn't as clean and sparkling as it makes out, underneath the glamour the cracks are showing and it's falling to bits . . much like that new roof you had done cheap by those scruffy chaps in a rusty white van (probably Russians, everything else seems to be)

Not so much a straw man argument, more like a chorus line of straw men in the touring musical version of the Wizard of Oz. 
Could you enlighten me as to which Countries the EU has invaded this century (unlike Russia, which has invaded Georgia and Ukraine), or when the EU has sent assassins to our shores to kill people (Salisbury), or when EU-backed forces shot down a passenger plane killing nearly 300 passengers and crew (Malaysia Airlines Flight 17)?
