Re: Doctor Who

I think someone will make it happen even if it is to undo the damage the last few doctors have done

Ugh what's the point, let it die or at least go on another 20 year hiatus to have a good look at itself and give its head a wobble

Re: Doctor Who

Hmmm, well I guess I'll give it go if/when it arrives.

The last few seasons pretty much destroyed my love of it.
So much so I stopped watching it, so it'll need to be a good "reboot".

I wonder if it will revert back to Season 1 yet again.
They messed up the numbering so much its hard to keep track, we already have 3 season 1's.

Indeed, I quite liked Peter Capaldi's doctor, very, very good actor let down by poor scripts, so if a reboot could start with his regeneration in 'Twice upon a Time' being some kind of 'bad dream' and everything following never actually happened - I'd be good with that.

I think they'll need to do so. A complete reboot to avoid inheriting all the storylines, characters and nonsense that's built up over the last 20 or so years.

Doctor Who is a bit more difficult because you have to acknowledge the previous Doctors in a way that something like James Bond doesn't have to.

But you can simply just move on. This is the next Doctor; there aren't any storyline threads from before, so you can just start again. Ignore the Billie Piper stuff.

Just start with the new Doctor already in place. The others are there as part of the history but that's it.

Daleks, we need (proper) Daleks, you know, the ones hell bent on killing everyone else to rule the galaxy.
