Because they can't be bothered, because it's of little consequence.

Some EU regulations we keep because there is little point in changing them, as companies still want to produce products that they can sell into the EU. Why change it when it's what you've been doing so and in changing it all you're doing is limiting where you can sell your product?

In other cases, we could change it, but it would be in order to sell to the United States and in some cases like that, our farmers are opposed because it undercuts them.

All of this was evident before the referendum. We said, even in threads on here, about who else you would sell to if you decide to cut out the EU?

Complete self-sabotage. And all the proponents of it still pontificate without any shame about how things should be done now.

Oddly enough I recall people claiming that during the Brexit debate.

But oddly, here we are.

I suspect that's a case of wishful thinking. I'm old enough to remember when Kippers were drooling over the alleged likelihood of the Netherlands, Ireland and Hungary leaving the EU.

Great post. You can take a horse to water but you can't make it think! Changing legislation for the sake of it just increases the cost to taxpayers and business.

People have been saying that for ten years. How is it going so far?

That’s because the EU haven’t implemented what the Brexit voters voted for, so it’s all the EU’s fault…

(I think that’s how the "logic" works…)

Like I said, it's going slowly.

I'm surprised somebody like you hasn't noticed the subtle changes

You mean the polling that consistently shows a majority want to rejoin? Currently running at 61%.

Those subtle changes?

Is the UK in the EU? Nope. So how does polling in the UK affect my original post about the EU?*

*Considering that at the speed things go, it would be another 5 years minimum until we rejoined . . unless the EU begged for us to come back (or more likely refused us because we'd add to their problems)

Go on then. Give us specific examples of where the EU is imploding.

Difference between 'imploding' and 'will implode'
One suggests a current state, the other a future state.

What will make it implode? Lots of envious Europeans looking at how well Brexit has worked out and wanting a £400 pay cut as well?
