I've just loaded my account up £250.

How long would that currently last you?
That would be 2.5 months for me which includes an overpayment ready for when the heating goes on sometime in October.

Re: UK Energy Prices
No idea I don't track it because it's depressing knowing the fact handouts have my bills high but that's another political story!
I just load my account up so nobody knocks my door, or call for that matter. I put £500 on in April which has seen me through until today where I've added £250.

I base it on my monthly direct debit which is currently £96 a month but I dont work from home so I imagine it would be alot more for people who do. I guess that'll rise another 20-30% when the heating is needed during the day when I'm home.

Re: UK Energy Prices
Mine is set by outfox at £175.
Its clearly too high as they have refunded me twice this year (when asked).
They seem reluctant to lower it though.

I miss the ability to easily change my direct debit amount like I could in Octopus, via the app or webpage.
I'm currently £178.60 in credit ready for the months that I need my heating on.

Re: UK Energy Prices
Its more work for them.
Their only rule is your balance must equal or exceed one months payment.
So twice in the last year I have requested refunds to remove the "excess" that had built up.
Perhaps most people dont bother.

I just told them what I wanted my DD amended to, and they did it.

Before or after you told them how grumpy you are?
