But let's wait and see. Court challenges and politicians fighting to stop it will kick into hyperdrive now.

Re: Second Runway At Gatwick Airport
Sounds a lot simpler piece of work than the expansion of Heathrow over the M25, so this must increase its chances of going ahead.

Looks like it was designed using Cities Skylines (with mods enabled)

Shame the NIMBY blocked Stansted, otherwise I would still be doing the job I really enjoyed.
People who move next to an airport should have NO right to complain about noise, I mean it's an airport planes ain't quite.

Re: Second Runway At Gatwick Airport
Problem with Gatwick is housing around it are very well priced for the posh, they want a million pound property in tranquil conditions... My advice would be move to peace pottage, clue is in the name.
Seriously though is it a legal nightmare if the local council gives them reductions on council tax? Does it open a can of worms, what else can they get, is it disproportionate.
My mum's mum lives in a neighbouring neighborhood, the value of her property will only go up with a second runway. She's not fussed about noise. Old age may have deafened her anyway

Re: Second Runway At Gatwick Airport
I'm confused by some of this, they already seem to have 2 runways ?

Re: Second Runway At Gatwick Airport
Yup one for emergencies I think. It needs to be widened and moved away from the main runway a bit then it'll be officially two runways.
