Re: Virgin TV (2026)

Considering Sky doesn't on their own platform I doubt it , i get Sky Cinema is often cheaper e.g £3.99 and maybe Sky Sports at times, i don't see a reason why Virgin would do it

Virgin won't want to add an app that gives the content that they supply at a considerably cheaper price via Now TV.

Well, some of us prefer the 360, Richard. This really shouldn’t bother you so much - it’s our choice.

You’ll have to face it sometime, technology moves on and old technologies die off. There comes a point where new technologies are incapable of being incorporated in older devices and you will be forced to get rid of it anyway because it doesn’t work any more. You just have to adapt.

You haven’t been forced to ditch your TiVo yet and maybe you never will. When the channels disappear (likely in 2035 at the latest) we will all have to move over to streaming anyway to watch the content we want.
It bothers me personally because I (and most other TV customers) believe it to be inferior to the TiVo V6. If you or others prefer it, it certainly is your choice and it bothers me not.

A family member called me recently and asked me for advice. I told her that, as she only ever uses live TV & VOD, that she would be better off moving over, if only to get access to Sky Atlantic a little easier and to stop the nag messages.

Re: Virgin TV (2026)

As said above - neither would Sky.

EEtv offer at as a part of their subscription in their EPG but there are no discounts available for that version.

Indeed and for the very same reasons.

If needs be I shall be taking a serious look at EE. I've come across a fair few offers in the past, such as 50% off for the duration of the contract.

Re: Virgin TV (2026)

Not for the full 24 months, it was for 6 months.

The lowest price is currently £20 for Now Entertainment+ HBO Max basic with ads which includes Netflix standard with ads
