Re: World Cup 2026

I think it only 'came to light' with all the furore about the decision, they obviously had to find something that supported it.

Apparently a 'sound' was detected as the ball was in the vicinity of the players head . . some wildly brilliant answers on social media have suggested things like a fly farting or the ball hitting a small moth.

Leave it as it is, English players are used to a good downpour

Re: World Cup 2026

England game moved to 7pm UK time Sunday. Allegedly due to a dodgy weather forecast. More likely FIFA can make more advertising revenue at this time. Wonder if the pubs will stiill be open all night, to drown England's sorrows and have a bit of fight before work/ signing on?

Well, after all that, they pulled a Starmer, so it remains at its original time.

Well they equalised to take it into extra time, and now its 2 - 2 (with a stunning 2nd equalizer) so they still have a real chance.
