Nobody’s suggested that the EU regulations should not be replaced by something more appropriate.
As for the level playing field, as long as that only affects our trade with the rest of the world, that’s OK. But they should not be allowed to dictate the terms on which we trade with other countries.
No legislation is being binned on the quiet. This government is wedded to all things EU. Against the wishes of the electorate in a referendum. How dare they?

Demographic changes - Brexit voters have literally died off so a majority of voters think it was a mistake.

What are you on about, in February 2024 the UK passed the 1000 mark of significantly reforming or repealing EU laws out of a total of 6900 retained laws, the number will be significantly higher by now. Btw you can keep track of every piece of legislation on the UK Government retained EU laws dashboard.

Sounds nasty does that, the Govt. needs to be on top of it to stop it spreading. I wonder how much they'll spend on inoculations and preventative measures

Same here Papa, no letter, email, phone call or text to inform me of my changed opinion of the EU. Nobody knocked at the door to tell me about it, and I was never invited to take part in a poll . . . I'm beginning to think those in power just don't like the way I think and are ignoring me and treating me as invisible

I'm afraid that some would prefer to trot out what they've studied at the University of Facebook rather than looking at the actual facts for themselves.

Regular showers might help with that…

Aren't regular showers exactly what the Governments are proving to be?

Won't be allowed soon, as it will use too much power, too much water or not fit in with the local council's "Cleaning Hierarchy" you will first have to use a dry towel, a river or stream, and finally a hose pipe fitted with a water restrictor and collection vessel under you so you can recycle the water into drinking water.
Of course I am joking with that, but seeing as the UK Councils are now following the nutty EU countries who are moving more towards "passive cooling friendly homes" instead of air con because "oh no air con is nasty, uses electric".
