1G : Youtube buffering issues

Would have thought if it was a load issue then it would be opposite.

If it is all still find behind a VPN then you know it is something along the way and by bypassing it you fix it . What about other streaming sites ITVX iPlayer Netflix Prime testing these will give you more clues

Personally, I just think it's Youtube.

Sometimes I'll watch a video that 'buffers', I know it's not my connection so probably down to the 'quality' of the video.

it works fine behind a vpn

I got 2 different connections one openreach and one 5G and various sites respond differently on them on the same machine and on the same browser on the same day around the same time. Weird things happen along the way

Netflix works fine.
It seems to work fine behind a VPN.

Surely Virgin must be aware of the issue I doubt its just me having the issue.

it might not be anything to do with Virgin they are just the first bit of the line

Think of the world wide web and imagine getting from one place to another all the connections and data lines and if ya 5G link me thin air from tower to tower to line and so on

Honestly you can't . You have ruled out your end with it working with a VPN and Netflix works without it so it is not you. It is not youtube because it works behind you VPN. It could be Virgin (but your net appears fine)or it could be anywhere along the route. It will likely just get better when they stumble upon it
