the truth is they don't care, most of these maggots have never had a job that requires real physical exertion so have no idea of the strain it puts on the body

Re: The Happy Thought Thread
Super happy, first day of the 4 nations transplant football event up in Dingwall. We won both games today.
2-0 V Wales and 3-2 against Northern Ireland.
England tomorrow morning and likely playing them again in the final tomorrow afternoon.
Playing in Ross County FCs ground. Wonderful feeling being surrounded by so many people with transplants and that have a similar story to share.

How's the car? Must admit to being just a little bit jealous.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread
Scotland finished the 4 nations transplant football championship in 2nd place. Medal winners again.
Such an overwhelming experience. So lucky to have so many transplant recipients all together from Scptland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Lots of family and locals from Dingwall watching and cheering us all on. All raising awareness of organ donation and how much it helps people.
Even some news coverage from BBC Scotland and STV.

The cars wonderful, 17000 miles and 3 years old and after they did a valet it looked brand new(can't see the point of buying brand new I just specced a new one out and it was £10000 more), it's a massive upgrade from my previous Audi.
As it was my first semi automatic I was struggling what buttons to press when I park as there were 2 P buttons so I didn't know what order to do what. It was a disaster when I parked it at work it shot into the hedge when I tried to turn it off! Luckily no damage.
Still need to get used to my first reversing camera and know what the lines mean on the camera and just how close I can get without contact to anything, especially kerbs! (Need to protect those alloys).
The feature that I was missing 'Hold Assist' where I can pull up at a junction and just take foot off brake without car rolling I've since managed to enable that which has made life easier!
Trying to figure out what features I will lose regarding the virtual cockpit with maps and stuff as I can't see myself paying a yearly fee when I can do all the satnav with live traffic for free with Android Auto as well as stream my music.
Still a kid at Christmas here, I couldn't be happier because I don't change my car often.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread

If it's anything like my A4, one was park for the transmission, then other was the electronic handbrake.

I guess so, having a second P button to manually press was new to me, so now when I go to park it's foot on brake, electronic handbrake, shift to Neutral and then press the other P button then engine off. Any other places I stop while driving is controlled by the 'Hold Assist' function, hopefully doing the above means I won't roll into the hedge at work again with everyone watching! Lol

Re: The Happy Thought Thread
Those 'dukes of hazard' handbrake turns are a thing of the past then
