But he was not rated as the best Prime Minister; quite the contrary and the public threw him out in 2010.
Remember, as chancellor, he sold off 50% of our gold stock when the market price was at the bottom of the cycle.
All this points to the utter incompetence of Starmer and Reeves having got to the stage of failure that needs Gordon Brown to be brought in. The press will have a field day.

Please keep them in office, from what I've seen whom ever replaced them would be even more dense.

Re: Starmer’s chronicles
Starmer put on his best Patrick Christy's imitation and his best mono-face to provide a content-free speech. No small boats mention, nothing about the "how" Labour will "be better and do better in the months and tears ahead". He also said that "... if we don't get this right our country will go down a very dark path".
"Strength through fairness" he mumbled. Unfair to whom, though?
Did he say anything worthwhile? Yes - full national ownership of British Steel.
"Britain will be at the heart of Europe to make us stronger". Nothing about how that will "make us stronger".
"Every child should go as far as their talent or effort takes them. It's a beautiful idea". No shit! But where's the money coming from for the SEND kids he mentioned? He's guaranteed them ALL a placement. At least that's measurable.
He extolled "this diverse country". A big fail, obviously.
The whole thing - undeliverable.

Re: Starmer’s chronicles
Trouble is, his ministers "have got the foreman's job at last". So, head above parapet scuppers that. So, the knife has to come from the left. Then we're truly stuffed.
There's worse to come.

Just fill the car with beans then you can keep them both in the garage.

He's not going to get that book finished is he. Maybe he's just going to turn his 'political experiences' into a 20 page magazine . . . with pictures . . and free crayons
