Depends what you mean by "old age" - I had no major health issues until last year, when I needed a Total Knee Replacement; other than that, I am (besides being about a stone over my optimum weight) fairly healthy at 69, and some of the benefits of being older are the joys of retirement and grandchildren.
It’s (imho) important not to be grumpy, negative, and just focusing on the "bad" things that happen - that’ll age you faster than Melania Trump coming of the Botox injections.

Apart from various parts of the body deciding to be awkward at times, being old is really just a state of mind.
Having said that, there are a few rare occasions when the mind goes on a little walkabout on it's own, leaving you standing in the kitchen wondering why you went there in the first place . . .
