It sticks in my throat to listen to ministers and senior coppers telling us they can’t guarantee Jews are safe on our streets. Worse is their wilful refusal to see the obvious connection between murderous violence against British Jews and the last two or more years of viciously antisemitic demonstrations on our streets, which they largely refused to do anything about, on the basis that chanting ‘globalize the intifada’ and ‘from the river to the sea’ is legitimate protest about the war in Gaza.

Politicians, Police Chiefs, in fact most people with any kind of 'power' are simply too scared to say or do anything about the 'problems' in this country because they don't want to upset somebody (usually one of the minorities).

The whole establishment of Law & Order is slowly being eroded because it's dangerous and career ending to speak out

They can't guarantee I'm safe on the streets, it's just not possible to guarantee peoples safety.

Plays straight into bibi's hands, he's been telling Jews for decades that they're not safe and move to Israel to help with his expansionist policies without taking any responsibility for those policies making people less safe and that's without questioning the false equivalence he loves to trot out that criticism of Israeli government policy is anti semetic, get that last point through the excrement for brains losers here and it'd solve a lot of the problems..

The actions of Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, this and other attacks are more than a little beyond criticism.

Keir Starmer has been met with groups of protesters as he visits Golders Green after yesterday's double stabbing.

Some of those gathered carry posters which say "Keir Starmer, Jew harmer".

Chants saying the same can also be heard.

Shouts of "shame on you" also met the prime minister as he arrived.

The prime minister has been speaking today about the importance of standing with the Jewish community, saying it is not just their fight but also "our fight", as his government also announced plans to tackle antisemitism.

Those plans include an extra £25m for more police measures to protect Jewish communities, as well as a proposed new law to target proxy groups. The government said it's taking action to fill a "gap in the law" which could allow individuals directed by proxies, such as groups linked to Iran, to avoid justice.

But critics say these measures are "too little, too late" after a recent spate of attacks targeting the UK's Jews.

The way Government procurement works, that should amount to 5 laptops, 2 sets of hand held walkie talkies, 4 new 'anonymous' facebook accounts, a dog van (but no dog), 7 extra interpreters, 27 cup final tickets, and the rest spent on meetings, consultations and administration fees.

It's a huge problem that is taken less seriously than other forms of racism. You'll get a lot of casual anti-semitic tropes just casually thrown out without shame or really any awareness.

I am not sure how we fight it other than more policing and more aggressive education about anti-semitism. This existed long before October 7th. Jewish buildings have needed more security as long as I can remember.
