Sky Atlantic: Rubbish

All the hype made by VM that Sky Atlantic was coming at last - and what do we get? Nothing like Sky Atlantic used to be.

Very disappointing. Btw, likewise, Sky One.

We know the reason - loss of HBO content - but why did VM bother and then smother it in all the hype?

Re: Sky atlantic: Rubbish

Guess you don't think much of HBO current dramas then as they are still on it and one of HBO series is airing on Sky One aswell (Rooster)

Only 1 of 5 series this month on Sky Atlantic is even on HBO Max this month and next month is series from NBCU (Ponies)

Re: Sky Atlantic: Rubbish

I said this in a previous post ..

There is little on it that would interest me at all, and what little there is I have already seen anyway.

They are banking on the fact that people will still think it is the channel that it used to be and trying to use this to get people to move from the V6 to the 360, but V6 customerd can still watch it by casting Virgin TVGo to their TV.

Carriage costs have obviously been reduced to reflect what's happened, so now Virgin are prepared to pay them.

Re: Sky Atlantic: Rubbish

Sky Atlantic was launched to keep stuff off Sky One which you could always get on cable. It was the hook to get people to buy a satellite dish. The fact that Sky were suddenly willing to let VM have it should have been all the warning anyone needed that Sky themselves no longer see the channel as a premium offering.

The better stuff of late isn't even from HBO or on HBO Max, the upcoming series - The Miniature Wife, Ponies, Crystal Lake, The Good Daughter, War look more interesting than what HBO has to offer.

Harry Potter really?
