Virgin Stream Box - Any Good?
Hi Guys,
Long term Virgin Media broadband customer but switched my TV to Sky around 10 years ago. Coming to end of my Sky contract and offers for renewal are poor so considering returning to Virgin TV.
Spoke to VM and they told me they no longer offer TV360 boxes so I would be sent a Stream box (I’d be switching from Sky Q).
Obviously I’d lose the functionality to record locally but generally no issues with streaming as much of what I watch these days is via streaming / VOD.
I just wanted to ask if anyone who has a Stream box would be kind enough to share their views on the pros and cons of the Stream box and also ask whether it is stable via WiFi?
Thanks in advance

Re: Virgin Stream Box - Any Good?
You don't need to pay VM or Sky fpr a stream box. Any smart device will do that. The tv service they are now providing is pointless.

You can still request a TV 360 as a new customer if you live a traditional cable area but comes with a £49.95 fee

Re: Virgin Stream Box - Any Good?
I have a 360 and Stream - main issue with Stream is it needs to 360 for recording.
Another issue we currently have is an intermitant broadband issue - which stops Stream but 360 tv continues fine.

Re: Virgin Stream Box - Any Good?
There is quite a good channel selection on Freely - but no recording options on the Freely channels.

To an extent, that is correct, but the additional features on the stream box make it worth paying a fiver for the box.
I think the watchlist and the profiles are particularly useful, and of course all the on demand content including the Virgin Ultra HD channel material

Anyone remember when you could record stuff on VHS, and skip the ads or boring bits . . with no subscription required

Still do this via virgin. The only thing I would need to adjust my viewing habits for
