But there are even more V6s with Tivo.
If there was a "try before you buy" option with being able to try out the TV360 without losing recordings and being able to go back to Tivo, then maybe more would consider switching.

Yep my main reason for not changing is the faf of setting it up . It ain't going to happen but move choices and recording across I would change in a blink of the eye. Still feel that when TV goes l'll move to freely and now.

Freeview or a generic satellite/DTT recording device.

The majority of customers don't want the 360 because it doesn't have the superior features that TiVo has, many regret changing over and the majority have had their requests to change back refused. 'Hatred' is a ridiculous thing to say and 'more modern' doesn't necessarily mean better.

Many on this forum agree with my sentiments.

Re: Virgin TV (2026)

Freeview has a basic channel selection and mainly SD and a lot of part-time channels - for a full channel selection you have to add streaming to it.

Even Freesat only has a basic selection.

If that's all you want I don't see why you stay with VM.

Indeed. They won't do this, partly because people would then realise that the 360 box is inferior to the V6 software that it replaced. This is why they sing it's praises and are using an easier way to receive Sky Atlantic via the EPG, whilst keeping quiet about the downsides.

Once again Virgin reveal how sly & manipulative they are as a company.

Partly because I have a good deal, it's certainly not for their standard of service and partly because I like the features of the TiVo V6.

I am under no illusion that at some point the V6 (and the 360) will be retired by Virgin in favour of a streaming only non recordable box. Those that aren't bothered about the TiVo features might as well swap over and use the 360 whilst it's still available. When the V6 is retired I will be reviewing my options.

That’s your opinion about the 360 software and I strongly disagree. You speak like your opinion on it is fact then it isn’t.

I’m sorry you’re angry you can’t enjoy sky atlantic. Why not join us on 360! it’s worth it!

Isn't that because Disney+ isn't available on Sky +

The channel has no On Demand content.

It is fact that the 360 lacks many features of the V6, this has been discussed many times previously and lists have been posted by various people.

I am able to access Sky Atlantic should I want to watch it by using Virgin TVGo and casting it to my TV. Once Virgin have realised that the number of people persuaded to change to the 360 has been exhausted and once the TVGo workaround is well known, I believe that Sky Atlantic will be quietly added to the V6.

Alternatively Sky Atlantic is included with the Now TV/HBO max service at £3.99 per month

Re: Virgin TV (2026)

You continually slag off VM for putting a channel on their current products only - but never mention that Sky do the same with Disney+ Cinema. And with that channel you can stream it using their app.

No difference - except for the channel.

It"s £6.99 for Entertainment and HBO Basic with ads

Entertainment only is £2.99

6 month terms

For various reasons I'd imagine Now is struggling to keep subscribers.

There's lots of offers that are coming and going. Do you think that the reason is that people are abandoning Now in favour of HBO max?

Now will be losing Virgin customers who are either no longer interested in what Sky Atlantic has to offer or who can now access it via Virgin.

Re: Virgin TV (2026)

Probably everyone is losing customers to the 'firestick' way of watching TV

*disclaimer: I don't have one, bugger all on TV that interests me nowadays

I'm not a Sky customer, so have no knowledge or interest in what Sky are doing as, whilst i'm with Virgin, it's irrelevant to me.

It's hardly surprising that a Virgin customer doesn’t talk about Sky in a thread about Virgin TV, in the same way that a Sky customer isn't likely to mention the Sky Atlantic situation in a thread about Sky!!!

Edit: Just looked into this and, apparently, this is a premium channel offered with the Sky Cinema pack. I haven't subscribed to Sky Cinema for years because there's nothing on it now that interests me, I didn't even bother when I was offered it for a period for free!

Sky Atlantic is a basic entertainment channel ie not premium and it's my view that all those who receive Sky channels with their package should see it on the EPG from day one.
