Sky to include Disney+ & HBO Max
Interesting email I got today;
Hello Paul,
Quote:
Good news.
From March, Disney+, HBO Max and Hayu will be included in your subscription.
And that’s on top of all the Sky shows already at your fingertips. It’s all part of our mission to bring you the very best TV experience

A Google search found this ;

Re: Sky to include Disney+ & HBO Max
They’re offering the basic tiers with adverts. It looks like you can fiddle about with your separate ad-free subscriptions (if you have them) to get them integrated into your Sky subscription for a reduction in the price quoted by Sky, but it looks to me like their intended audience is people who aren’t especially bothered by Disney+ etc but will go for this package for an extra few quid on the basis of perceived added value.
Beneath it all, it seems we’re still in the days of people thinking one service is better than another based on the number of channels it has (regardless of whether you’d ever watch any of them).

Re: Sky to include Disney+ & HBO Max
With the D+ offer. You get the basic 5.99 tier free but can upgrade to the others and save 5.99 off them. So standard is then 4 a month and premium is £9 a month.

It also seems to mention you can do that with HBO Max.

Eligible customers with Disney+ and HBO Max access can upgrade their subscription plan if they would like, with the cost of Disney+ Standard with Ads and HBO Max Basic With Ads deducted from the cost of the higher tier subscription.

Re: Sky to include Disney+ & HBO Max
HBO is also included with the Now TV Entertainment pack and is the only streamer that i've had any interest in.
When Virgin say that I must change to the 360, that I don't want, I will either change over to Sky or downgrade to the most basic Virgin TV sub and subscribe to Now. As channels have gradually closed or gone to the basic pack because they have become free elsewhere, there isn't anything that i'd lose.

Don’t forget that HBO Max will be on Virgin as well. I’ve just got a deal which trims back my channels and relies on streaming. I’m well happy and I no longer subscribe to all those channels I don’t want. And I still have the same choice of content that I watch.
If you are thinking of changing to Sky, just bear in mind that the lifespan of Sky Q is limited. Soon, the choice will be between Sky Glass and Sky Stream.
There’s no escape from progress.

Based on what exactly ?
Once again you seem to think Q can only do Satellite. I watch Paramount+ and Prime on my Q box.
I could also do Disney+ (and soon, HBO Max). Plus, of course, the football streamed to Sky Sports+

As you well know, I was referring to the TV channels. Sky is phasing out the Sky Q box and they are no longer advertising it’s availability, although for the time being it’s still available if you ask for it.
