Sky to include Disney+ & HBO Max

They’re offering the basic tiers with adverts. It looks like you can fiddle about with your separate ad-free subscriptions (if you have them) to get them integrated into your Sky subscription for a reduction in the price quoted by Sky, but it looks to me like their intended audience is people who aren’t especially bothered by Disney+ etc but will go for this package for an extra few quid on the basis of perceived added value.

Beneath it all, it seems we’re still in the days of people thinking one service is better than another based on the number of channels it has (regardless of whether you’d ever watch any of them).

With the D+ offer. You get the basic 5.99 tier free but can upgrade to the others and save 5.99 off them. So standard is then 4 a month and premium is £9 a month.

It also seems to mention you can do that with HBO Max.

Eligible customers with Disney+ and HBO Max access can upgrade their subscription plan if they would like, with the cost of Disney+ Standard with Ads and HBO Max Basic With Ads deducted from the cost of the higher tier subscription.
